Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt Finnish painter  born 21 July 1854, Porvoo,

Finnland – died 18 August 1905, Porvoo, Finnland Albert Gustaf Aristides

Edelfelt (1854년 7월 21일 – 1905년 8월 18일) 에델 펠트는 국제적인 명성을 얻은

최초의 핀란드 예술가 중 한명이다.그는 핀란드가 완전히 독립하기 전에 핀란드 문화를

해외에 소개했다.그의 부모는 스웨덴어를 하는 핀란드인이었다.그는 1869년  핀란드

미술 협회의 드로잉 스쿨에서 미술 연구를 시작했으며 핀란드 화가인 Adolf von Becker

(1871-73)의 제자였다.그는 앤트워프 미술 아카데미 (1873–74)에서 역사 그림을

공부한 후 파리의 에콜 내셔널 데 보자르(Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts) (1874-78)

에서 Jean-Léon Gérôme의 학생이되었다.파리에서 그는 미국인 John Julian Alden

Weir와 스튜디오를 공유했으며 John Singer Sargent 에게 그를 그를 소개했다.그는

1889 년 파리 만국 박람회에서 금메달을 포함하여 파리에서 상당한 성공을 거두었으며

핀란드의 리얼리즘 예술 운동의 창시자 중 한 사람이었다.그는 몇몇 젊은 핀란드 화가

들에게 영향을 미쳤으며 Akseli Gallen-Kallela 와 Gunnar Berndtson 과 같은 핀란드

예술가들이 파리에서 활동하는데 도움을 주었다.
